Reading

Not a whole lot I like more these days. She loves books and will incessantly get another for you to read with her. She backs up and plops herself on your lap (whether you know it's coming or not) and grunts her request for you to begin. My cup runneth over.

Adam's Birthday!

I realized I never blogged about Adam's 27th birthday!! For the record, it was March 19th - must have gotten sidetracked...can't imagine why...
I had a day of surprises planned for Adam. He had a doctors appointment in the morning so I went to Cardinal with the girls like a normal day, and as soon as Adam got home I had packed up lunch for the girls and we headed to the batting cages in Noblesville. If I hadn't kept this a surprise Adam would have known to bring his glove (dang it) but he hit for awhile and then we moved on. The girls loved watching, Noah was desperate to try, but it looked a bit scary for a 3 yr old. Then we headed to play some putt-putt which was such a huge hit. I believe Noah was free and Adam and I were a few bucks each and we had the place to ourselves which was wonderful. It was all fenced in so Jocelyn and Noah could just run around and play. Noah LOVED putt putt - it was awesome. Then we came home to relax for a bit, the girls napped, and then we went to PF Chang's for dinner with my family. Jenna and Kara (lookin all tan) had just gotten back from FL on spring break and we celebrated Mom's, Jenna's, and Adam's birthday. Then everyone came back to our house for cake and presents. I made a cake for Adam that is gluten, nut, dairy, and soy free and (believe it or not) DELICIOUS. Fun times.  On to the photos!

This is how my parents smile when you tell them to get together for a picture...

Easter

Wow - posting about a holiday that happened yesterday?!?! When did I get so caught up?? Eh. It won't last. :)
Adam was off this whole weekend which was great, so we had a fun (but busy) weekend - I managed to bring my nice camera along on Easter to brunch, my parents, and Adam's Aunt Kim's house so we had lots of photos of the day. I'm really going to try to be better about taking photos of my kids (you'd think this would come naturally...it being my profession and all...). Enjoy a few from our day -

Then on to Aunt Kim's...

We walked to the park near her house and some of them played a short football game...

Then..after the fun ended - we headed home for a late (and quick) dinner, quicker baths, and bedtime :) The girls were asleep in no time.
After we unloaded the car, I sorted through everything, threw away trash, put the candy in our candy box (which still contained candy from last Easter) for special treats, and organized the toys for the next morning. That's a great part about being a kid - you go to sleep and wake up the next day to your toys sorted, put back together, and organized for you. Just so you can mess the up again :)

Happy Easter to you all - hope you had a great day celebrating Jesus' resurrection!
